Who is responsible
Mi Raíz is an app by LiliumLabs, the independent studio of José Francisco Bustamante Ocampo. For privacy questions or requests, email .
No LiliumLabs account or required login
Mi Raíz does not create a LiliumLabs user account, use its own passwords, or run an authentication server. You can play without connecting an account. If you choose “Save progress with Google,” Android lets you select a Google account. Google Identity asks for permission to use only the app’s private data space in Google Drive. The permission scope is drive.appdata. This authorization lets the app back up and sync progress. It is not a login to a Mi Raíz account.
While the connection is active, the app stores the selected account email locally in DataStore to associate the correct authorization. Google access tokens are used only in memory and are not stored. LiliumLabs does not receive your Google password.
Data stored on your device
Progress is stored in Android’s private app storage. It may include your chosen name and companion, preferences, missions and completion times, optional reflections, memories, favorites, and up to 30 recent check-ins with their responses. Reminder and accessibility preferences are stored locally too. The app does not send this data to a LiliumLabs server.
If you authorize Health Connect, Mi Raíz reads only aggregated daily step totals for the last seven days and, for some missions, an aggregate total between the mission’s start and end. It does not read routes or individual samples, write health data, or keep raw totals as its own history. A mission result may be part of your progress; raw step totals are not included in the Google Drive copy. Permission is optional, and you can record an activity manually.
For a local transfer you start, Android may request nearby-device permissions and, on older Android versions, permissions the system requires to discover nearby devices. Mi Raíz does not use these permissions to determine or send your location.
Optional Google Drive copy
Mi Raíz stores an optional progress copy in the private appDataFolder of the Google account you select. The copy may include your preferences, missions, reflections, and check-ins. Google restricts appDataFolder to the authorized app. It does not appear in My Drive. The copy does not include your Google account email, access tokens, device permissions, or raw step totals. Google Drive transfers use the HTTPS protocol. The app does not encrypt this automatic account copy end to end with a phrase or key known only to you. Google manages Drive storage and security under its own terms and privacy policy.
An optional manual backup is also available in Google Drive or as a local file. It is protected by a recovery phrase and encrypted before storage. This backup requires an action from you and confirmation before restore. Do not share your recovery phrase.
Disconnecting Google clears local connection metadata and attempts to revoke Google Drive permission, but does not itself delete a remote copy. “Delete local progress” also leaves the automatic RZA1 account copy in place. The current app does not provide an in-app control to delete that automatic copy. To request its removal, email the team at the address above before disconnecting the account. Do not send passwords, tokens, or verification codes. The manual encrypted RZB2 backup has a separate “Delete Drive copy” control under Settings → Data; that control deletes only the RZB2 backup, not the automatic RZA1 copy.
Ads and consent
Mi Raíz displays discreet native ads through Google Mobile Ads. It uses Google’s consent platform (UMP) before requesting ads and requests ad inventory only when the consent state allows it. Depending on your region and applicable rules, UMP may show a consent form or privacy options.
Google’s ads SDK may automatically process technical data such as IP address, device or advertising identifiers, app interactions, and diagnostics to provide and measure ads and prevent fraud. Mi Raíz does not send reflections, emotional responses, Health Connect data, Google Drive files, or game progress to the ads SDK for ad personalization. The app has no first-party analytics or remote crash-reporting service.
Other Google services
Google Drive and Google Identity process authorization and copies when you choose those features. Google Play may check historical purchases to preserve compatibility with earlier purchases; the app does not currently offer a new purchase flow. Each Google service handles data under its own terms and policies. LiliumLabs does not operate a profile database or receive game progress.
Retention, deletion, and requests
Local data remains on your device until you delete it from Settings → Data or uninstall the app. In Settings → Data, you can clear check-ins or delete local progress. Any manual exports remain under your control. For requests about information you have sent to the team by email, contact the address in this policy and include only what is needed to locate the request.
Google retains Drive and advertising data under its own terms. Review your Google account settings to manage or revoke third-party access. Revoking access does not guarantee Google will delete a copy already stored in appDataFolder; see the limitation above for the automatic account copy.
Changes and contact
If Mi Raíz changes how it handles data, we will update this policy and its date. For privacy questions or requests, email .
